About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Social Worker to join our Children in Our Care Team in the vibrant and diverse outer London Borough of Bexley, nestled in the Thames Gateway between London and Kent which combines the perfect blend of city vibe and the tranquillity of Kent.

This permanent role offers an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of looked after children whilst being part of a supportive team environment. Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing social work support to children in our care
  • Undertaking assessments and care planning
  • Working collaboratively with families, carers and partner agencies
  • Maintaining accurate case records and reports
  • Contributing to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

About you

We are looking for a qualified and experienced Social Worker who is passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of children in our care. You will be joining a team that values professional development and collaborative working. The ideal candidate will:

  • Hold a University degree in Social Work
  • Have at least 2 years previous experience, ideally in Child in Care (Looked after Team)
  • Have an active registration with Social Work England
  • Demonstrate strong assessment and care planning skills
  • Show commitment to safeguarding and promoting children's welfare
