About the role

We’re celebrating an OUTSTANDING achievement across all areas in our latest Ofsted inspection (December 2024) and now, we’re looking for social workers to help build on this success.

If you’re passionate, driven, and ready to be part of something exceptional, now is the time. Come and grow with a team that’s setting the standard for excellence!

We have new and exciting opportunities to join Achieving for Children as an Advanced Practitioner based in Kingston & Richmond. As an Advanced Practitioner you will be responsible for assisting social workers to develop their experience and skills in managing court work and providing advice and guidance on families meeting social care threshold.

This is a newly created team formed by the care review recommendations and working together guidance and the successful candidate will be instrumental in the success of it.

This is for two permanent positions. One in Kingston (based in Guildhall 2, Kingston) and one in Richmond (based in Civic Centre, Twickenham)

The Child and Family Help (C&FH) Team forms part of the Social Care and Early Help Directorate. The team is focused on supporting children, young people and families who need targeted early help as well as more specialist interventions, including work with children in need. The C&FH Advanced practitioner will support, coach and share expertise with C&FH Practitioners (who are otherwise qualified) to deliver high-quality interventions aligned with AfC’s assessment, planning and intervention framework.
