About the role

We are looking for experienced Team Leaders to join our Safeguarding Richmond Team. Your role as a Team Leader will provide the operational management and leadership support across the service supporting the Head of Safeguarding.

The teams work on a range of legal options to support investigation and protection and accommodation and if required we will provide evidence in court and we will consider using contingency planning to anticipate complexity and changing circumstances. Our manageable caseloads, supportive management structure and flexible technology ensure that we achieve good outcomes for our children, young people and their families and maintain a high-quality service. Key responsibilities include:

  • Casework supervision of Social Workers
  • Assisting overall management and development of the team
  • Undertaking child and family assessments
  • Carrying out child protection enquiries
  • Safety planning with children and families
  • Direct work with children and young people
  • Care proceedings and court work

To be a Team Leader within the Safeguarding teams at Achieving for Children you will be passionate about making a positive difference to the lives of children and young people.
