Our Unaccompanied Children’s Assessment Team works with children and young people up to the age of 18, fulfilling our statutory duties as a local authority by providing specialist support, care, and guidance to those arriving in the area unaccompanied.   

About you

About You

You are a qualified and experienced Social Worker, registered with Social Work England, who brings:

  • A strong commitment to safeguarding and delivering outstanding care
  • Passion for relationship-based, trauma-informed practice
  • Creativity, curiosity, and a desire to make a lasting difference
  • A collaborative approach and a willingness to grow and learn through feedback
  • Experience supporting unaccompanied children both asylum and non-asylum arriving in UK (essential)
  • Experience and knowledge of the NTS process, Brief Enquiries, Age Assessments and National Referral Mechanism (essential).
