Islington Council is seeking a full-time Practice Development Manager to join our Family Help and Safeguarding Service. In this pivotal role, you will participate in developing a comprehensive practice / workforce development strategy and plan. This will involve identifying key areas of focus, setting objectives, and outlining the steps needed to achieve our goals. Your strategic input will help shape the future of our workforce and practice, ensuring we continue to meet the needs of our community effectively. A key part of your role will be to champion Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion. You will ensure that these principles are embedded in our workforce / practice development strategy and practices, fostering an environment where all staff feel valued and respected, and where diversity is celebrated Join us and become part of our outstanding, forward-thinking social care department. We are deeply committed to improving outcomes for, and safeguarding, Islington’s most vulnerable children and families. Our Family Support and Safeguarding Service is firmly rooted in our relationship-based practice model – Motivational Practice. Our workforce already demonstrates a high level of skill and enthusiasm for relational and trauma-informed practice approaches. In this role, you will have the opportunity to further develop knowledge and practice skills across the social care workforce and stakeholders.
