Salary: Grade L - £56,733 - £59,772 plus retention allowance of £4,971 per annum and zones 2&3 travel card

Team Manager – Fostering, Recruitment & Assessment Team (FRAT)
Are you a passionate and highly motivated social worker, with leadership experience in fostering and assessments? Do you have the creativity and drive to inspire others to change the lives of children in our care through fostering?
There is a local and national shortage of foster carers, and we are committed to tackling this challenge. As part of key initiatives to achieve our fostering sufficiency needs, we are seeking a Fostering Manager to lead our efforts in attracting and assessing prospective foster carers and supporting prospective foster carers through panel to approval.
You will bring a strong understanding of the fostering recruitment process, excellent assessment skills, and the ability to engage and motivate prospective carers and your team. With a creative approach to recruitment, you’ll use your social media awareness and marketing skills and work with others to develop innovative campaigns, ensuring we reach the right people in the right ways.
You are not alone, collaboration is key in this role—you will work closely with internal teams, external partners, and stakeholders to strengthen our recruitment strategy and drive positive change. Tower Hamlets is part of Local Community Foster Greater London East.
