About the role

We are currently looking for experienced, enthusiastic, motivated and dynamic social workers to work full-time in our Child Protection Service. Our priority is to provide the highest quality support and care for Hackney's children and families, providing the right support at the right time.

The teams are made up of 5 social workers, a senior social worker and a Team manager. We are rated Good by Ofsted and are continually seeking to improve our services. Our Systemic, Trauma-Informed and Anti-Racist (STAR) practice model informs everything we do. Key responsibilities include:

  • Working with children subject to statutory plans including Child in Need and Child Protection plans
  • Providing high quality support and care for Hackney's children and families
  • Working collaboratively to support change for the children and families we work for
  • Engaging in our excellent training and development opportunities
  • Contributing to our innovative approach as we dismantle systemic racism and make anti-racism a foundation of our practice
